Mark Brewer, President

Pronouns: he, his, and him.
Mark joined the ICF Upstate NY Board of Directors and was appointed to be the Secretary-Treasurer in January 2021.  He is a certified professional coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach in New York State.  His passion is to coach Corporate teams and executives, and leadership.  He has his PCC through the ICF.  He is certified to administer assessments in Energy Leadership and Emotional Intelligence, individually and 360s.
His background includes degrees in Accounting and Finance.  He has extensive experience in the non-profit world in Finance and Human Resources, as well as Senior Leadership.  He has also received his Master's degree in Sacred Theology/Religious Studies, and was an ordained minister/priest in the Roman Catholic Church for almost 10 years.

Joanne Panarisi-Bottone, Membership Chair

Joanne Panarisi-Bottone, CSW, ACC, is an Executive Coach and Founder of Intrinsic Wisdom Coaching LLC. She provides Consultation and Coaching for Forward Thinking Leaders and Their Teams. Joanne brings an expertise and focus to leadership and team coaching, rooted in an extensive career in the not-for-profit sector. She has held Executive and Sr. Leadership positions from an unwavering belief in Human-Centered Leadership, through organizational culture change, professional/personal development, and social justice. Along with ICF Executive Coach Certifications, Joanne is also ICF Certified in Neuroscience: Coaching and Relational Trauma, DiSC Assessments, and Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team. She holds a Master of Social Work degree, with a Concentration in Family Therapy and a Certification in Women’s Studies, and was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State for close to two-decades. Joanne joined the Upstate NY Chapter Programming Committee in January 2023, and is now serving as our Chapters Membership Chair.

Lauren Morris, Programming Chair

Lauren Morris is a certified academic success coach currently working at SUNY Binghamton in upstate NY. In her Associate Director role, she meets with college students to support their learning, who they are and how they can reach their fullest potential while at the university or beyond. Lauren strives to create a collaborative environment where students feel empowered to thrive through their academic journey by digging deeper on academic topics like time management, organization, study skills and beyond. While she is away from her desk, Lauren enjoys spending time with her dogs, taking care of her houseplants, playing volleyball and board games with loved ones and creating art in her home studio. Lauren received her ACC in the summer of 2023 and joined ICF Upstate NY Board of Directors in January of 2024. She is looking forward to bringing the chapter together and serving as the Programming Chair!

Rachel Malik, Marketing Chair

Rachel is a high-performance Coach committed to driving cultural change through the progression and development of early talent. She has counseled Leadership Teams at fortune 500 companies and coached CEOs to deliver meaningful change. Rachel's prior experience includes spearheading the development and deployment of programs designed to elevate high-potential talent across the PepsiCo UK network. She successfully became Co-Chair of PepsiCo’s Gender Network (Thrive UK) after only 12 months in the company, ultimately winning her the 2022 PepsiCo People Award. Since relocating to the Capital region last year, she has helped young professionals find their voice and think strategically about their career goals. Her mission is to future proof organizations by building the next generation of professionals.

Liana Shea, Organizational Development Chair

Liana is a certified life coach whose focus is on helping women over 40 consciously create their story and set the stage for the next chapter of their lives.  She thrives on empowering women to dream again!

 

At the age of 11 is when Liana started working in the theatre.  She has a BFA in Performing Arts Design / Technology with an emphasis in Stage Management.  The last 20+ years of her professional live entertainment career was as a Project Manager for the building of, and maintaining of, scenery built for Broadway and Corporate Events.

 

She is also a NY Licensed Massage Therapist. 

 

Liana loves to read, study Kung Fu, roast her own coffee, listen to classical music, bake and explore the world.  She joined the ICF Upstate NY Board of Directors in May 2023 and is excited to be serving as the Organizational Development Chair!

Rose Rubin, Secretary-Treasurer

Rose Rubin has a wealth of coaching experience specializing in personal and professional relationships and communications since 2002. Her previous 20 years of project management experience with very diverse teams has given her the tools to deal with challenges arising amongst employees at all levels.

Her credentials include MCC (Master Certified Coach) with the International Coaching Federation, RPCC (Results Certified Professional Coach) with Results Coaching Systems, Master of Arts Degree, and Bachelor of Science in Education. Rose has also had extensive professional training in Leadership and Team Building.
