Biography
Becky is an educator, coach and writer.
As an educator, Becky has been on staff in various positions in formation ministries in three different progressive congregations over the past 25 years. A Certified Associate Christian Educator, Becky also holds a certificate in Youth and Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a BSEd in Elementary Education and Middle-school English from the State University of New York at Fredonia, and completed 200 hour Yoga teacher training through Yoga Farm Ithaca. Becky received her coach training through Vibrant Faith Ministries.
As a coach, Becky has worked with numerous cohorts of educators, pastors and chaplains through the Presbyterian Church (USA) Office of Christian Formation, in addition to a practice of individual coaching. Becky is an Associate Certified Coach credentialed through the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
As a writer, Becky was a regular contributor to the curriculum "Follow Me: Biblical Practices for Faithful Living" published by the Presbyterian Publishing corporation. She has also written curricula for PC(USA) Special Offerings, and the Faith Practices Toolkit with the Office of Christian Formation, as well as numerous articles for "Presbyterians Today".
In her spare time, Becky is an avid reader, a mediocre knitter and a practitioner and occasional teacher of yoga. In warm weather, you can find her kayaking, biking, or hiking with her husband and two daughters--in the winter months, you can find her complaining about the cold on a ski lift.
