Join ICF NYC and NYU’s MS Program in Executive Coaching and Organizational Consulting for our Fifth Annual Coaching Event. This year we dig into the grey space between coaching and consulting – the prospective opportunities, how to navigate the differences, and more, in what we hope is the start of a conversation where we learn together and explore the possible.

For the first time since 2020, ICF NYC returns to live programming with a 90-minute panel followed by a one-hour networking reception. Or, join us virtually as we livestream the conversation. Virtual attendees will be able to contribute to the interactive discussion components of the program.

The Discussion:

Throughout the history of modern business, consultants have coached and coaches have consulted. However, the space between coaching and consulting has always been a bit grey. As the coaching profession continues to evolve, we are seeing more conversation around the blending of the coaching and consulting skill sets necessary to service the needs of the marketplace. The success of the NYU Master of Science program in Executive Coaching & Organizational Consulting illustrates the importance of blending the two critical skill sets.

This year we will convene a panel to take a deep dive into the unique relationship between the practices of coaching and consulting and discuss ways of blending the two to enhance your coaching practice.

The panel will:

  • Address the false dichotomy of coaching vs. consulting
  • Share approaches to organizational consulting
  • Discuss ways to blend consulting services into your coaching practice
  • Consider ways to navigate ethical considerations in the grey
