ICF Research Webinar – Understand the Process: From ICF Core Competencies to the Updated Credential
Join the ICF Research Community and Joel DiGirolamo on December 6, 2022, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. EST (New York) for a 60-minute research webinar. In 2017 ICF began a job analysis of professional coaching to determine what updates should be made to the Core Competencies. This project took a "clean slate" approach to understand how coaches currently practice. This lengthy process resulted in an updated set of Core Competencies. From the updated Core Competencies was developed a completely new written credentialing exam, as well as new performance exams for all credential levels. This session will illustrate the elements in this six-year process in addition to the role of professional coaches as subject-matter experts and academic rigor.
*This session has been tentatively approved for 1 CCE unit in Resource Development.
